On A Personal Note

Sometimes life can be so incredibly cruel and unfortunately for me and my family, one of the worst things that could have possibly happened to us has, in fact, recently happened (sorry to be vague, but it really pains me to talk about it). As I am currently dealing with what seems like an almost insurmountable grief, I wanted to let you all know that my updates may be more sporadic than usual.

In an effort to take my mind off of the situation this weekend, I ventured down to Granville Island, which is one of my favourite spots here in Vancouver. To be quite honest though, I am finding it extremely difficult to go on "living life" as I did before. From now on, I think I will literally have to take things one day at a time and just hope for the best...

  3. I can only assume what it is, but sincerely wish you all the strength to get you through this difficult time of your life. There are more important things than blogging right now, and you should focus on what eases the pain the most. If it is blogging, than do so. If it isn't, leave it. I know this is such a cliché expression, but "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" is a true fact.
    Thinking of you.

    1. Thanks, Petra <3 It would be so hard for me to give up blogging, so thankfully it has been a welcome distraction from "reality."

  22. I was so sorry to read this post, Alison. Although difficult times are a part of everyone's life, it never seems or is fair when they happen to us or to someone who know and love. I'm sure that, taking things day by day, you'll slowly get back to feeling like your old self again. But in the meantime, take all the time you need and do whatever feels best for you :) Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
